The E-Myth Revisited: Why Most Small Businesses Don't Work and What to Do About It

Notes
The reason most small business fail is that their owners tend to build businesses that depend on them instead of businesses that can function and scale without them. As a result, they hit a brick wall the moment they try to grow the business beyond their own capabilities.

We have three internal conflicting personalities: The Entrepreneur (who likes to dream & strategize), the Manager (who likes to organize), and the Technician (who likes to do / build stuff). While we need all three in balance, the problem is that we are typically 10% Entrepreneur, 20% Manager, and 70% Technician, and we end up doing things because we enjoy doing them, even if they make no business sense.
